Leanne the midwife who delivered our baby girl was so professional, so kind and so supportive in what was a difficult birth due to a large baby. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. All the staff in this hospital are so good.

I had a really good experience in the labour and maternity ward in Sligo University Hospital in March 2019. As a nervous patient having my first baby the care and patience I was shown in the midwifes clinic from Roisin and in the labour ward from Nicola, really made the experience so much easier for me! Thank you! All of the staff in maternity and labour were good!

I recently had a baby under the care of Dr Heather Langan. She was fantastic from day one of my complicated pregnancy. Very easy to talk to and explained everything so well. All her team were excellent and the other obstetric teams I met on different occasions. The care on the maternity ward was brilliant. I ended up having an emergency section, the care I received in theatre was unreal from theatre operatives, nurses and doctors...I felt very much at ease. On my return to maternity ward, again the care was excellent.

Dr. Langan and her Registrar Dr. Sola were great when inducing my labour and delivering my little girl. Also midwife Jane who cared for me on the day of delivery. Fantastic care and never left my side. Carol also amazing. Barbara and Ger, brilliant midwives in maternity. I felt they treated me like I was the only patient there. Overall, maternity services in Sligo are amazing from start to finish. Rita,Patricia and Sheila in FAU and Roisin in OPD. Also Anna from anaesthetics was very gentle and kind. A great experience and care with both my daughter's births.

Roisin in the midwives clinic. Throughout my pregnancy she was such a great support and I would highly recommend the midwives clinic. I was lucky enough to have Roisin throughout my pregnancy and she was also so kind to take time out to come up to me while I was in labour and after on maternity ward to check in with me. If I go on to have more children I would be hoping I would be lucky enough to be blessed with Roisin's support again. Also have to say Marla, the midwife manager was great at putting me at ease on the big day and ensured I got what I needed. All the nurses in the NICU are angels and they supported us through a scary emotional time and they were of great help and reassurance. Dr Tumularu and his team members especially Anna were great at explaining things to us at all times. All staff in the peadatric ward are also fantastic and everyone went above and beyond for us and our baby boy.

Dr Heather Langan is an amazing doctor. She explained everything to me and delivered my baby girl. The lady always has a smile and is the most caring kind doctor I have ever met. She works such long hours and I have never heard anyone say a bad word against her.
