Ms Barry and her team saved my leg from amputation and spent a lot longer in surgery than expected going above and beyond when it would have been easier and cheaper to amputate. The doctors, nurses, surgeons worked non stop to not only save my leg but my life. I got 24hr care from the nurses, who were very gentle and non-judgemental. They helped me in any way they could. I honestly hated hospital because of past hospital experience and I won't go to any other hospital now. I'm very very grateful for Ms Barry and her expertise and the chat she had with me which helped me to stay calm and explain things without treating me like an idiot. This is so rare but most appreciated. The only lil problem I had was when it came to finally discharging me, there was a lack of communication and letters and meds and aftercare wasn't sorted out. I was meant to be given physiotherapy but didn't get it until 4 months later, which Ms Barry immediately set up and was quite annoyed that they hadn't sorted it for me. Also I want to give props to the lads that wheeled me in my bed all over the hospital, very nice and they know when to joke with you and when to leave you be. Very professional lads. All in all I was terrified going in from ambulance but they soon took care of me and I left fixed and happy. Compared to other hospitals I've stayed in, this one is like a five star hotel! The other hospitals should take notes. I must stop or I will be typing all day.
