My main complaint is the Covid-19 restrictions. The waiting room was too packed with patients and chairs were only one meter apart. I counted 10 people in the waiting room and opted to wait in the corridor as I did not feel safe in the waiting room. I was handed a pen to use but it was not wiped beforehand, although the electronic pen was. The reception staff were very nice but there was a lot of movement in and out of reception by other staff, surely this could be looked at. The same applied to patients not observing social distancing. I went to other medical appointments and I was told to wait in my car until they rang my mobile and I only entered the building when they were ready for me. This was a much better system and I was only there for a very short time. Also if any paperwork needed to be filled out, I was sent it on email, again more efficient and less contact interaction. Just to finish, the staff were excellent, but the system needs to be reviewed in my opinion.

The reception and accounts team were so nice and friendly. The hospital was spotlessly clean. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

My daughter attended Clane for her procedure recently. I cannot praise this hospital enough from the spotless rooms to the nursing care, both on the ward and when she went to theatre. Free parking was also a bonus as I didn't have to worry about parking tickets etc...

I attended the radiology dept and a staff member assisted me to the room. I was not impressed by her attitude. My appointment was on a Friday and I thought she just wanted to get home. She did not make me feel at ease. On the other hand the chap who did the test was nice and he put me at ease while getting the test done.

My experience of the team in Clane has been nothing but positive, a few hick-cups here and there medically which could not have been foreseen where dealt with grace, professionalism, care and total respect. Wonderful team led by an outstanding man.

The treatment I received in this hospital was exceptional right through from the time I had my outpatient appointment to when I was being discharged after my surgery. I cannot give enough credit to all staff from administration to nursing and also my consultant Mr. Dermot Moore for the level of service and care they provide.

Lovely Hospital, very accessible and fantastic service. More like a hotel than a hospital.

The cleaning of the ward was a little superficial with the same ball of hair / fluff rolling around the toilet floor for most of the week despite the presence of a cleaner. This made me wonder about the cleaning standard accepted.

I was a patient in the older part of the hospital and was surprised at how run down it seemed, even to the extent that the toilet seat was falling off the toilet in the bathroom. I also felt quite cut off from my family who were waiting for progress reports from me, as there was no mobile phone coverage on my vodafone mobile.

The nursing care my son received was excellent. However, the discharge information was very poor and he has had a couple of infections since discharge which may have been prevented by him being discharged on antibiotics, as is the practice in some hospitals. I was a bit disappointed that we had to share a room with 2 other children as my child is very young and a private room (which we were covered for) would have made life a lot easier as he found the noise of the other children crying very upsetting and it was very hard to settle him down. Also, there are no canteen facilities and I had to pay for my meals. I suppose this is fair enough, but it would have been nice to know about this in advance.
